SUSTAINABILITY
We occasionally ride fast, but we’re far from fast fashion.
We believe the most sustainable product is one you’ll actually wear for years. That means designing timeless pieces, choosing durable materials, not chasing trends, and producing responsibly. It also means making thoughtful decisions about where and how our gear is made.
our commitment
YEARS, NOT SEASONS
Durability is one of the most effective sustainability strategies.
We design garments to withstand years of riding, washing, and everyday wear. Timeless fits, refined construction, and performance fabrics mean your clothing doesn’t go out of style or fall apart after a season. And when wear does happen, we believe in repair over replacement. Call it cost-per-wear, Ornot.
IT STARTS HERE
Fabric + Materials
We prioritize recycled materials, and deadstock textiles. Recycled fibers reduce energy use, water consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions compared to virgin materials. Deadstock fabrics give unused materials a second life, rather than letting them sit in warehouses or head to landfills. All of our fabrics are Bluesign or Oeko-Tex certified, and all of our DWR coatings are PFAS-free.

domestic production
MADE IN USA
We prioritize U.S. manufacturing because proximity brings accountability. Working closely with our sewing partners allows us to maintain quality, move quickly, and build real relationships with the people who make our products possible.
While great products are made all over the world, producing domestically aligns with how we want to operate, investing in skilled labor, strengthening the local economy, and supporting a more responsible production system. It’s not a tagline. It’s a commitment we continue to stand behind.
real responsibility
small runs
We produce in measured batches to avoid excess inventory and unnecessary waste. Sometimes, products sell out. That’s the trade-off. That's real responsibility in action.
We’re not perfect, but we’re committed to making better choices for the places we ride and the people who support us.
RESEARCH + DEVELOPMENT
SPECIAL PROJECTS
One of the most sustainable things we can do? Use what already exists. That’s the concept behind Special Projects—limited-run garments made from premium deadstock fabrics, cut and sewn in California. When they're gone, they're gone. It’s one of the most direct ways we can reduce waste while continuing to experiment with new designs.
what's old is new again
RIGHT TO REPAIR
We build our gear to last for years, and we stand behind it with a one-year warranty against manufacturer defects. Wear happens, and when it does, we believe in the right to repair.
Our repair program addresses common issues so products stay in use, not in landfills. Repairing almost always has a lower environmental impact than replacing. By backing what we make and supporting repairs, we reduce waste and honor the value of well-made clothing.

1% For The Planet
Every Ornot purchase sends 1% to nonprofits protecting clean air, clean water, and the places we ride through 1% for the Planet.
For us, that’s a real commitment. As a small, independent company, we build responsibility into everything we do, from recycled fabrics to California manufacturing to compostable packaging. When you choose Ornot, you’re helping protect the places that make riding worth it.
