The Tam Week Challenge
Tam Week was a 5-day cycling challenge from July 7-11, inviting Bay Area riders to summit Mt. Tamalpais (affectionately known as Tam) as many times as they’d like. Inspired by Mosaic Cycle's Flagstaff Week, we set the challenge to climb to the "top" of West Peak to push your mind and body, and win prizes.
We released the challenge with reserved expectations, but the community far exceeded them. Through out the course of the 5 days, there were nearly 250 ascents. One hundred people summited every day and still had the energy to attend our after-party, where we shut down our corner of Clement Street with stories and high-fives shared.
Many thanks to our partners and friends for providing prizes. Ultradynamico, Silca, Slug Bicycles, Outershell, and Calling in Sick Mag each donated prizes for Tam Week participants. Oh, we gave away our brand-new Park Jersey to those who summited all five days.
We’re already scheming for next year’s Tam Week, and we hope you are too.
