The City Collection was two years in the making, culminating in a celebration at our Inner Richmond Showroom.
Chico Brenes has been part of the San Francisco skate scene since the early '90s, and the SF bike scene for over a decade. After a knee injury, Chico got on a bike for rehab and never really stopped. He found his way to Ornot soon after, and now splits his time between skating, riding, and surfing, which makes sense if you've spent any time moving through this city.

San Francisco has a way of doing that. The fog, the wind coming through the Golden Gate, the way it can feel like six different climates between the Mission and Marin. You figure it out as you go. You adapt to the environment as it subtly changes how you move and what you do here.
That overlap is what this project grew out of.

Ferris Plock has worked with Chico for years, going back to early board graphics, and bringing him in was both nostalgic and fresh. His artwork for this collection draws on that history and the texture of San Francisco itself. Blending layered hand-drawn graphics, bikes drawn from memory, and cats, some of whom are definitely farting.

We kept the production close to home. The decks were hand-screened in The Sunset with B.V.B, with breaks to skate his backyard park. The UV Trail Shirts were sewn in the Mission District. Jerseys, boxers, and cotton tees were made in Oakland.

There's a common thread here. Whether you skate, bike, surf, or draw, you take the route that works for you, and you never stop pushing.
Thanks to Chico, Ferris, and everyone else who helped make The City Collection happen. This one was for San Francisco.
