DESCRIPTION

Wear it on your bike, Ornot.

An everyday essential built with gridded Polartec Merino Power Wool. This pullover has everything you love about extra-fine Merino (naturally antimicrobial, moisture-wicking, warm in the wet). The grid structure traps air to keep you cozy under a layer and works just as well off the bike as it does miles off the grid.

Bonus feature? A concealed rear pocket for snacks and essentials.

Made in the USA, this midweight pullover is what Goldilocks would pick—not too hot, not too cold, just right (with a side of tech).

**Do NOT put in the dryer**

FAQ

Do i need to ride gravel?

No. you can ride dirt, or road, or both, or bike paths, or just wear it to your job.

Why not 100% merino?

Because pure merino can stretch out, pill, and takes longer to dry. But the real benefit is that this fabric lasts longer and behaves better.

is this the same as the merino grid jersey?

Yes, we use the same fabric for both the Merino Gravel Sweater and the Merino Grid Jersey. We love it.

does it fit in a large handlebar bag?

Yes, with room to spare. I like to wear this sweater with a alpha riding vest!

Want the whole fabric story?

This is one of our favorite fabrics, and that’s saying something. It’s Polartec® Power Wool, milled in the USA, with merino wool on the inside and synthetic fibers on the outside so each side does what it’s best at. It’s soft without being fragile, warm without being bulky, and breathable without feeling thin. The grid structure lets the fabric stay lighter while performing like something heavier, trapping warmth where you want it and letting heat and moisture escape when you don’t. It lives right in that Goldilocks zone. Not a base layer. Not a jacket. Just right. We use this same fabric in our Merino Grid Thermal Jersey because it works the same way on the bike as it does everywhere else. Merino against your skin manages moisture and resists odor, while the outer face adds durability, structure, and faster drying. It doesn’t look technical, it just quietly does the work.

what makes it "power"

Power Wool is a bi-component knit—meaning it places extra-fine merino wool on the inside next to your skin and a synthetic performance fiber on the outside. That way you get the natural benefits of wool (anti smell, insulates when wet, moves moisture in the vapor state), as well as the benefits of synthetic ( more durable, pulls moisture from the interior merino, shape retention).

what's the fit like?

This has a casual fit. If you order your normal jersey size, it will fit loosely like a sweater. If you plan to wear it only on the bike with bib shorts, you can size down, but it’s not necessary. Take a look at the size chart for detailed measurements. I'm 5'10" 160 with a 40" chest, and I wear a Medium.
