Size Note * The Micro Climate Jacket is designed to be worn fitted. If you prefer a slightly more relaxed or roomy fit, we suggest moving up one size. The fabric has a good amount of stretch and the intended jacket fit is similar to a jersey with some added room for a layer. Again, if you want it a bit more relaxed, one size-up works great. Studio Model is 5'10", 150lbs, and wearing a size Small. If you have questions about sizing send us an email.
The functional rear pocket doubles as a reversible bag for the jacket. This stash bag contains the jacket, making it easier to fit in your jersey pocket, bar bag, or even strapped to your frame.
Stash it when you hit that warm microclimate and need to take it off, pop it back on when it (or you) cools off.
While riding, the pocket zipper features an easy to grab pull so you can get into the pocket while wearing gloves.
This jacket features a double zipper not only to allow a big vent for cooling off on long climbs or short warm microclimates, but most importantly - it allows quick and easy access to rear jersey pockets without unzipping the whole jacket.
This fabric is top shelf. Specifically, it's an extremely fine stretch woven, with a whole lot of technology in the yarn and milling techniques. The lofted insulation, those little fuzzy "bowties", serve an important role in trapping heat, while the fabric does its job allowing moisture to escape, but not enter.
Each strand of fiber used in this fabric has a patented treatment that permanently resists moisture. This makes the jacket water-resistant and quick drying without a membrane or a coating that can wash off.
San Francisco is known for its microclimates and that was our inspiration for creating the ultimate, breathable, take-along jacket. It's typical for a 2 hr ride from SF to span temperatures of 20 degrees. Other days it just hovers around 55, and you never know if it will change until you're actually out there. That's what makes this jacket so valuable. It's so breathable you could wear it all day, Ornot.
We like to use our MacGyver Strap to attach the jacket to our bike, so it's always with us.
