Merino Cap - Black

8 reviews
  • Cozy and Comfy Cap for the cooler times.

    GIVING TUESDAY - Nov 24th - Dec 2nd

For every merino cap sold we will donate $15 to Outride. Outride is a public nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of youth through cycling. Money will be earmarked for a very cool, upcoming Ybike program serving inner city youth. More info here.

Our merino cap should be a staple in every cyclist’s wardrobe where the winters get cold. Roadies, gravel junkies, and mtb'ers can all revel in its lightweight, comfort, and versatility.

It made sense to team up with our friends at Giro (65 miles south door-to-door) to put together an Ornot iteration of this classic cap. It's thin enough to fit under a helmet, has updated construction that reduces bunching and a shortened brim for improved upper peripheral vision while still maintaining its ability to block sun, rain, sleet, hail, etc. Bonus ear flaps for added warmth.

    Warm Hat

This hat definitely does a great job in keeping my head including ears in the cooling weather.

    Versatile Cap for Fall Activities

I think I've worn this cap nearly every day since I got it. It's super soft, plenty toasty, but also quite breathable. Plus, I love the no-static inner liner because no one likes crazy, static-y, hat head when you take your cap off. This is great under the helmet on rides but I've also worn it trail running and chilling at the camp site. Only odd thing is it's listed as One-Size but when I got it, it had a S/M tag on it? I might have opted for a L/XL if available because I've got an ample-sized melon.

First ride with the hat was a metric century in 40-50 degree temps. The hat was absolutely perfect for those conditions
